Privacy, in plain words
Swaplet only works if visitors trust what happens to their details. So here it is, short and straight.
What we collect
If you sign in at an open house (or a similar capture), we collect what you type: your name, phone, email, and what you’re looking for — budget, bedrooms, areas, timing, financing, and any comments. If you’re an agent or host, we collect your account and license details, and payment is handled by Stripe (we never see your card number).
What we do with it
Exactly what the checkbox said: we share your preferences and contact details with a licensed real estate agent who matches your search, and the hosting agent earns a fee when that happens. If you also ticked a quotes box (moving, inspection, insurance), we may share with providers in that category too — and only that category. We never share beyond what you agreed to, and we don’t sell lists.
Your choices
Opt out anytime: every email from us has a one-click opt-out, or just tell us and we’ll stop sharing your details and remove them from the exchange. Agents can edit or delete their account details the same way.
How long & how safe
Leads expire from the exchange after 14 days. We keep records only as long as we need them for the service, receipts and the law. Data is stored with standard protections; only the agent who unlocks a lead sees the contact details.
Where we operate
Swaplet serves the United States and Canada, and we work to meet the privacy laws in both (including CAN-SPAM, CASL and PIPEDA). Questions, requests, or anything that feels off: support@swaplet.com.
